FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to take the tests?
All applicants are required to complete the skills assessment
tests. The tests give NTI an objective assessment of each transcriptionist
and helps us make sure you are successful.
What happens when my on-line application and tests are
completed?
The information is electronically sent to our Recruiter. Your
resume is reviewed to ensure that we have positions that match
your experience, and the tests are scored. This process takes
7-10 days or longer.
If you have a positive result, then a phone interview is scheduled
to give you an opportunity to ask questions and "meet"
NTI.
Can I use my computer and software?
No. NTI supplies the computer and production software, for a variety
of reasons; the most important one is that we want you to be able
to work with as few problems as possible, and we want to be able
to support you when you do have technical issues. The software
is designed specifically for medical transcription to enhance
production and efficiency. Additional software is installed for
communication with the NTI staff.
I have a dial-up Internet account. Can I use this for
my Internet connection?
No. You will need to have a broadband Internet account, such as
cable or DSL. The monthly cost will be your responsibility.
How flexible would my schedule be?
We make every attempt to accommodate your need for flexibility
because, after all, it is one of the good things about working
from home! However, client needs must be met, and to that end
we work with each MT to come up with a schedule that meets the
clients' needs as well as yours.
