Joel Pieper

Area Director, Salt Lake City

With more than 25 years of experience leading complex infrastructure programs and large field organizations, Joel Pieper brings extensive mission-critical delivery experience to National Technologies (NTI). His career spans hyperscale data centers, telecommunications, federal and defense facilities, aviation, and other demanding technology environments. This breadth of experience informs an approach that connects project strategy with field execution, aligning contract requirements, engineering, procurement, schedules, quality controls, testing, commissioning, and final turnover.

As the Salt Lake City Area Director, Joel focus extends beyond individual projects to strengthening the operating systems behind consistent delivery. Working with his team, he emphasizes accountability, production controls, QA/QC, staffing strategy, schedule alignment, and client communication to improve readiness from installation through validation and turnover.

In addition to overseeing project delivery and operational improvement, Joel works with his team to develop AI-enabled project intelligence and turnover improvement concepts. Guided by the belief that issues are more manageable when identified during construction rather than at turnover, his work focuses on earlier warning, faster corrective action, and more predictable project outcomes.
